The Heath String Quartet

This fine Quartet (Oliver Heath, Cerys Jones, Gary Pomeroy & Christopher Murray) was formed in 2002 at the Royal Northern College of Music and has quickly established itself as an outstanding ensemble in concert halls and broadcasting studios. They have made their Wigmore Hall debut, and have played at Aldeburgh, the Concertgebouw and took part in the Haydn Bicentenary at the Esterhazy Palace. The Aquarelle Guitar Quartet
All Saints’ Church, Thornham - Saturday, 11th June
The Acquarelle Guitar Quartet is the only established guitar quartet in Britain. The Quartet was formed whilst studying at The Royal Northern College of Music. They have performed as part of the Last Night of the Proms and have given live broadcasts on Radio 3. The Quartet is dedicated to presenting music from around the globe, from the renaissance to the present day. They constant expand their repertoire with their own arrangements, not least the Brandenburg concerto they will play at Thornham. Their website is at

The Scott Brothers Duo
Holkham Hall - Saturday, 9th July
The Scott Brothers, Jonathan and Tom, perform in instrumental combinations which cover the entire keyboard spectrum: piano and organ, harmonium and piano and for us, piano duet. Born in Manchester, Jonathan and Tom both studied at Chetham’s School of Music and at the Royal Northern College of Music. Tom made his concert debut aged 17 with the Hallé Orchestra and Jonathan has recently played concertos with the BBC Philharmonic and the RPO. For more information go to their website,
